Two car collision in Dakota City

Dakota City, IA – Possible minor injuries suspected after two cars collide in Dakota City at an uncontrolled intersection.

Chief Deputy Cory Lampe of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office reports that Wednesday, April 22, that Stephen Gord was traveling,58, of Dakota City was traveling east on 1st Avenue North in Dakota city approaching the Intersection of 6th Street North. At the same time Deborah Andersen, 67, of Humboldt was traveling south on 6th Street North. As both drivers entered the intersection Gord’s black Chevrolet Cobalt struck the side front corner of Andersen’s white Ford Fusion.

The incident resulted in disabling damages to both vehicles. Both Gord and Andersen reported possible minor injuries to Chief Deputy Lampe at the time of the incident. Andersen was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.
