Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt County Development Association continues to work hard to help local businesses and provide the most recent information in relation to COVID-19.
The Humboldt County Development Association is continuing to help provide information and resources to local businesses across the county during the COVID-19 pandemic. Director Alissa O’Connor tells KHBT that her office has been working hard to provide the information in an organized manner.
“We’ve been posting every update that we receive to [our] webpage” she says. This is a measure to make sure that everyone has access to the most recent information. Information that is included on the website is some reopening guidance. O’Connor says that putting it on the website also helps avoid cluttering the inboxes of the businesses.
O’Connor says that for new business loans available, including the paycheck protection program, business owners should reach out to their local lender. “As we know that program has to originate with a local lender” she says, calling it important that business file the paper work through those offices. She does recognize the process is long and tedious but says that it is the only way to get that process started. O’Connor also adds that the loan programs have been replenished by the federal and state levels.
The up to date COVID-19 information provided by the Humboldt County Development Association can be found at humboldtcountyiowa.com. Businesses with questions or would like more information can contact O’Connor directly at (515)332-2557.
