Humboldt, IA – Following a recent storm, the city will be collecting yard waste from residencies.

The City of Humboldt will be doing a brush pickup following last week’s large storm. Announced via social media, the city plans to collect tree limbs and branches that fell as a result of the storms. Administrative Assistant Christa Brockman provides the details to KHBT.

The city will be sending workers around to the residential areas on Wednesday, June 10. Branches must not be more than six inches in diameter and seven feet in length. Residents must leave all their debris on the curb in an easy to pick up bundle for the city workers. This will be city wide.

The city planned to initially hold the brush pick up on June 8 but the brush pile was filled after clearing city right-aways. The cleanup follows a storm the night of Thursday, June 4 that featured high winds, heavy rain fall and hail.
