Humboldt, IA – Humboldt High School Softball loses Thursday’s game due to weather.

On Thursday, June 18, the Humboldt Wildcats faced Forest City on the softball diamond. The game started as scheduled but the weather ended it early in the bottom of the first inning. The Wildcats scored five runs before lightning in the area paused the game. The game resumed after the delay and Jori Hajek hit a grand slam to give the Wildcats a 9-0 lead before the game was paused and eventually called off. The game was not played to completion status and the results and stats from the game will be washed away.

The Wildcats softball squad will remain 2-0 on the season. The team will return to action Friday, June 19 for a home game against St. Edmond.
