Tuesday morning incident involving a deer

Humboldt, IA – No injuries reported after a deer is struck by an SUV during a Tuesday morning commute.

Officer Tom Nielsen reports that on Tuesday, June 23, Peggy Erickson, 69, of Humboldt was northbound on Highway 169. As she continued north a deer ran out in front of her vehicle. Erickson was unable to stop in time and the action resulted in her striking the deer with the front of her white GMC Arcadia.

The incident resulted in minor damages to the vehicle that was driven away from the scene. No injuries were reported by Officer Nielsen as a result of the incident.
