Humboldt baseball remains unbeaten at home

Humboldt, IA – Humboldt High School Baseball picks up the home win against Bishop Garrigan.

On Thursday, July 9, the Wildcats played host to the Golden Bears. It was a 9-6 win for Humboldt. Bishop Garrigan started the scoring in the first inning with two runs but Humboldt responded with three at the bottom of the frame. Each team scored one in the second. Humboldt added two runs in the fourth and three in the sixth. Bishop Garrigan would add three in the seventh before the Wildcats closed the door on the comeback attempt.

Humboldt baseball is now 8-4 on the season. The Wildcats will return to action Friday, July 10 for a home game against Spencer. The game will start at 7:30 pm following the JV game.
