Clear Lake, IA – Humboldt High School varsity cross country takes a couple of top two team finishes at the Clear Lake Invitational.
On Thursday, Sept. 17, Humboldt cross country made the trip to Clear Lake to participate in a meet at the Veteran’s Memorial Golf Course. It was a top place finish for the boys and a second place finish for the girls in their individual meets.
For the boys team they were led once again by their top runner in Quinton Orr who finished first with a time of 15:52. Wildcat teammate Eric Wittrock finished second in the meet with a time of 16:50. The total team score for the Humboldt boys was 34 as they finished first as a team.

For the Humboldt girls team they finished second as a team with a score of 67. The Wildcats were led Jocelyn Orr who finished eighth in the meet with a time of 22:11.

Humboldt varsity cross country will continue their season on Monday, Sept 21, for their home invitational at Sheldon Park in Humboldt. The meet is scheduled to start at 5 pm.
