Stop sign downed by sedan in Humboldt

Humboldt, IA – No injuries reported after a single car incident that knocks down a stop sign.

Officer Susan Rutz of the Humboldt Police Department files the report on the single car incident. Her report states that on Thursday, Dec. 17, Ramona Joiner, 92, of Humboldt was westbound on Highway 3 approaching the intersection with Highway 169. As she approached to turn she took the turn too wide resulting in her red Chevrolet Impala knocking down the stop sign. Upon re-examination Officer Rutz reports the driver was disoriented about how soon or wide to turn.

The incident resulted in minor damages to the Impala that was driven away from the scene. No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
