Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt Community School Board of Education is operating with a new member.
During the meeting of the board on Monday, Jan. 18, Jim Mertz was approved to the board seat previously held by Kathy Yoakam who stepped down during the Dec. meeting. Mertz is a resident of Humboldt. He works for Corn Belt Power Cooperative as an electrical maintenance foreman.
Mertz took the Oath of Office after the board unanimous approval during the meeting.
