28 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Humboldt County last week, 21 active

Humboldt County, IA – Public Health is reporting a total of 21 active COVID-19 cases in Humboldt County as the total case count reaches 1,093.

In looking at the COVID-19 numbers for the county from Monday Jan. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 31 Humboldt County Public Health and the Iowa Department of Public Health have reported a total of 28 new cases over the course of the week.

Here is how the total positive cases break down by age:

  • 139 are in the 0-17 age range.
  • 358 are in the 18-40 age range.
  • 321 are in the 41-60 age range.
  • 216 are in the 61-80 age range.
  • 59 are in the 81+ age category.

Additional information provided from the states coronavirus.iowa.gov shows the Humboldt County positivity rate as 10.1 percent over the past 14 days.

At this time there have been 1,072 recoveries (40 new) with 19 (one new) COVID-19 related deaths in Humboldt County for a total of 21 active cases.
