Dakota City, IA – Humboldt County is preparing for multiple road projects as the supervisors approve multiple contracts.
On Monday, February 1, the supervisors were presented six project contracts for road improvement projects across the county. Engineer Ben Loots was the one to present the contracts.
The first contact was for Weidemann Incorporated out of Dows, Iowa. It is for work to be done on bridge 10 located southeast of Thor. The cost of the project is estimated to be $103,125.50 which is under the budgeted $120,00.
The rest of the contracts all were awarded to Mathy Construction Inc. out of Onalaska, Wisconsin. Loots says that Mathy recently purchased Fort Dodge Asphalt and he’s not sure if it will be Fort Dodge Asphalt trucks or Mathy trucks coming to do the work. The five contracts are for blacktop work in various locations across the county.
The supervisors approved all contracts as presented to them.
