
Humboldt, IA – No injuries reported after one incident and possible minor injuries suspected after another on Thursday in Humboldt.
The first incident was reported by Officer Kylie Zender of the Humboldt Police Department. Her report says that on Thursday, February 11, a minor from Humboldt was west on 8th Avenue North and Leslie Tille, 50, of Rutland was South on Taft Street North. As they approached the intersection of the two roads the minor advised he couldn’t see Tille’s white Dodge Dakota until it was too late to get stopped.
Both Tille’s Dakota and the minor’s gray Dodge Dakota sustained minor damages as a result of the incident. No injuries were reported by Officer Zender at the time of this accident.
Later that day Officer Susan Rutz reports a second incident occurring at the intersection of Highway 169 and Wildcats Road. According to the report Kirstin Weiss, 47, and David Lemke, 65, both of Fort Dodge were traveling south on Hwy 169. Weiss was stopped at the intersection and when her silver Buick Encore was rear ended by Lemke’s white Dodge Ram due to the slick conditions of the road.
Minor damages were sustained to both vehicles as a result of the incident. According to the report by Officer Rutz Weiss complained of some pain and possible minor injuries were suspected at the time.
