Dakota City, IA – Dakota City officials are reminding the public that the recycling dumpsters are only for recyclable waste.
On Wednesday, March 10th, during the closing moments of the City Council meeting for Dakota City, Clerk Angelique Berry provided the reminder. She politely asked that people only put the appropriate disposable material in the city’s recycling bin.
Berry says they have had a problem lately with people putting normal trash in there. She even says animal waste has been placed in the recycling dumpster. There are cameras that clearly capture the area and the city clerk says they were able to ID some of the guilty parties.
The council echoed Berry’s request before adjourning their meeting.
