Dakota City, IA – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors are appointing two drainage commissioners for the project in Drainage District 7 Sub 2.

On Monday, March 22nd, during the meeting of the board they made the appointment. This first commissioner appointed by the board was Brent Kuehnast who has served as a drainage commissioner for multiple years. The second appointment was for Chris Wergeland who is a new commissioner. They also selected JD Meyers as an alternate.

The supervisors were very deliberate on who they chose for the drainage commissioners on this project. Recently they decided to expand their list of drainage commissioners. They wanted to make sure they paired an experienced commissioner with a new one on this project.

As previously reported this project’s contract was awarded to Reutzel Excavating. It is a drainage tile project that will also include reclassification of the district.

The supervisors approved the commissioner selections unanimously following their discussions.
