Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt City Council officially approves the maximum tax dollars from certain levies for the city’s proposed fiscal year budget 2021-2022.

As previously reported the council held the public hearing for these certain levies back on February 16. However, according to City Clerk Gloria Christensen during this meeting they could not approve them because a “super majority” was required and only three of the five council members were present to vote.

During their most recent meeting the full council was present to vote. Following a reminder from Christensen that this is not the city’s whole levy council approved the resolution unanimously.
