Waverly, IA – On Monday, May 24, the Humboldt High School girls’ golf team traveled to the Waverly Municipal Golf Course for their regional meet.
The course par for an 18 hole game is 70 – top four golfers from each team making up team scores. The top two teams advance to state.
As a team Humboldt finished third at 98 over par. The meet winners were Clear Lake +63. Second place was West Delaware at +95.
Humboldt’s Nora Carlson was the meet medalist, shooting the course par of 70, and she will advance to state individually. Runner-up Meghan DeLong (Clear Lake) was +4. The second individual qualifier was Brenna Bodensteiner (Waverly-Shell Rock) in fifth at +19.
