Humboldt boys’ dominates East Sac County on the road

Wall Lake, IA – On Tuesday, May 11, Humboldt High School boys’ soccer topped East Sac County 7-0 at the Wall Lake Athletic Complex.

The Humboldt Wildcats turned the offense on early and often. However, despite getting a lot of shots, East Sac County was able to hold the game scoreless until the 30th minute. Max Mason would score on a penalty kick.

The Wildcats would take a 2-0 lead into the half time break. Isaiah Kahl would tap in a shot on a corner kick play in the 40th minute to complete the first half scoring.

Humboldt scored five more goals in the second half to widen the margin of victory. James Gould, Mason, Trevor Beach, Jacob Heier, Shayden Vodraska and Blake Woolery all collected goals in the period.

Humboldt boys’ soccer is now 12-2 this season. They have won seven straight games. Gould was named Player of the Game by KHBT as part of the broadcast coverage.

The next game for Humboldt will be on Thursday, May 13, at the Humboldt High School Soccer Field. It will be against Fort Dodge. Match time is scheduled for 5 pm.
