Humboldt, IA – The Highway 169 water main project is rolling right along as expected according to city officials.
City Administrator Travis Goedken says that this project continues to make great progress. The contractor, Brian Nettleton Excavating, has not experienced any unexpected difficulties. They have faced some rock under the roadway but this was expected going into the project.
There is no confirmed date for completions on this project. Goedken says the contract states they work must be completed by the fall but they are ahead of schedule thanks to weather cooperation.
While work continues on Hwy 169, traffic will continue to see lane shifts and closures.
