Dakota City, IA – The Iowa Department of Transportation will be will be detouring Highway 169 through some Humboldt County roads.
During the meeting of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors on June 28, the board was presented an action item to approve the detour. The agreement with the I-DOT was not present at the time of the meeting but the details of the detour were.
It will commence at the junction of Hwy 169 and County Rd C-26. It will go three miles to the west for P-33 before turning north for 4 miles. The detour continues on C-20 before going east for 3 miles back to Hwy 169.
The board was not presented with the details of what work was being done to cause the detour. The agreement was approved unanimously.
