The Humboldt County Memorial Hospital has a new emergency preparedness and response building. Director of Community Development with HCMH Mardi Ratzlaff says the building began operations on July 20 and that the hospital is having an open house next week.

The building is on the northeast corner of the HCMH campus next to the helipad. The facility is a little over 4,000 square feet and Ratzlaff says the building offers the hospital many different options.
