Webster County Courthouse adding security measures

Fort Dodge, IA -The Webster County Sheriff’s Office released a press release this week detailing changes to Webster County Courthouse security. Starting on Monday, Aug. 23, all people entering the courthouse will pass through an airport style security metal detector. No weapons of any type will be allowed inside the Webster County Courthouse.  This includes all knives, firearms, any form of chemical agent such as mace or any other type of self defense item.

Anyone attempting to enter the courthouse with these types of items will  be asked to store the item in a vehicle or location off the courthouse property prior to returning to the building.
