Fort Dodge, IA – A Fort Dodge man has been arrested for attempted murder after a shooting in Fort Dodge early Monday morning.
The Webster County Telecommunications Center received several calls of shots fired near the 10 block of North 7th St at around 12:30 AM, witnesses reported that the shots came from a silver Ford Mustang before it fled the area.
It was determined that an occupied vehicle had been struck by gunfire but there were no injuries. At Approximately 1:15 AM police located the suspect vehicle and arrested 29 year old John E. Jackson of Fort Dodge and charged him with Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony. Jackson is currently being held at the Webster County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond.Fort Dodge Police continues to investigate the incident, they were assisted by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.
