Humboldt, IA – Despite a workforce shortage in Humboldt County there have been signs of growth according to a recent report.
Humboldt County Development Association Director Alissa O’Connor presented the HCDA Annual Report to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and Humboldt City Council on Monday and says Humboldt is a resilient community but businesses are struggling to find employees.
O’Connor shared with the Board of Supervisors and City Council how they are addressing the workforce shortage.
O’Connor says that there is a significant quality of life component to workforce recruitment that encompasses housing, education and other factors as well.
