Dakota City, IA – At Monday’s Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Meeting, the Board approved Resolution 2021-22 for a sign replacement program for cities and counties in Humboldt County. County Engineer Ben Loots explains what the project is.

Loots details what sign replacements were done last year and what the plan is for sign replacements in the county moving forward.

The total amount of the project is $13,000 and the grant the county is applying for is $10,000, and the County will pay for the remaining $3,000. Loots says that he should hear back from the Iowa Department of Transportation within the next week or two on whether there is funding available, otherwise he says chances are high that the funding will be available January 1st 2022
