Humboldt, IA -Humboldt High School star athlete Caden Matson has committed to Iowa State University to play football. The Senior 1st-team All-State selection made the announcement on Twitter on Sunday, here’s Matson on his decision.
Matson has earned a Preferred Walk-On opportunity at Iowa State and will play safety for the Cyclones and plans on majoring in AG Business. Matson had offers from some other schools, including Division 2 power Northwest Missouri State, and says choosing ISU wasn’t an easy decision.
Following his decision, Matson thanks the following people for their support.
Matson is the 2nd member of the Humboldt Wildcats football class of 2022 to commit to a division 1 program, joining Ben Kuenhast who signed with the University of Northern Iowa in December to play offensive tackle for the Panthers.
