DAKOTA CITY, IA – At last week’s Humboldt County Conservation Board meeting the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and Humboldt City Council were present for a work session to discuss future alternatives for the Reasoner Dam and area surrounding it . There was a lengthy discussion on the merits of having a more detailed structural analysis of the dam done, and the estimated cost of this would be $120,000. No official action was taken at the meeting.
Also at the meeting, Bret Harklau was present to discuss an alternate plan for the Reasoner Dam. Again, no official board action was taken.
