HUMBOLDT, IA -There was town hall meeting on Saturday morning in Humboldt featuring Senator Tim Kraayenbrink of Fort Dodge and Representative Mike Sexton of Calhoun County. The event was held at Humboldt City Hall.
Here are the opening remarks from Representative Sexton detailing some highlights in the Iowa legislature from last week.
Sexton continued to say that the town hall meeting will be the last one they do since they lost Humboldt County in redistricting recently and picked up Sac County.
Senator Kraayenbrink says that despite the redistricting he want to help get funding for the Reasoner Dam project in Humboldt County.
After their initial remarks, the legislators answered questions and comments from the public, further explaining the Tax Bill and other legislation.
