Fort Dodge, IA – The Fort Dodge Police Department has released the following press release involving one of their officers:
“On Sunday, June 5 at approximately 6:27 p.m., the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a report of a hit and run accident near the intersection of Highway 20 and Vasse Avenue in Webster County. Deputies with the Webster County Sheriff’s Office responded and determined one vehicle had left the scene. There were no injuries reported.
As a result of the information developed during this investigation, Sergeant Bryce Presswood with the Fort Dodge Police Department has been placed on paid administrative leave until further notice. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol are continuing to investigate. Any further action will be determined pending the outcome of the full investigation.”
