Three teens arrested for July 26 shooting in Fort Dodge

Fort Dodge, IA – The Fort Dodge Police Department apprehended all three suspects yesterday from the shooting of a 26-year-old female on July 26. 17-year-olds Jamarrion Davis and Patrick Walker along with 16-year-old Javen Preston were taken into custody and charged with felonies related to the shooting. Fort Dodge Police say they are still investigating the incident and anyone with any further information regarding the case are encouraged to contact law enforcement.

The Fort Dodge Police Department’s full press release from yesterday afternoon is below:

“After the search warrants were conducted this morning the Fort Dodge Police Departments Criminal Investigations Division along the Division of Criminal Investigation, and Webster County Attorneys Office continued to investigate the incident.

At approximately 12:11 P.M. this afternoon, Javen C. Preston was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Preston was arrested on the following charges.

  • Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (C Felony)
  • Going Armed with Intent (D Felony)
  • Willful Injury (C Felony)
  • Criminal Gang Participation (D Felony)
  • Minor Armed with a Dangerous Weapon (Serious Misdemeanor)

At approximately 2:37 P.M. this afternoon, Jamarrion J. Davis was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Davis was arrested on the following charges.

  • Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (C Felony)
  • Going Armed with Intent (D Felony)
  • Willful Injury (C Felony)
  • Criminal Gang Participation (D Felony)
  • Minor Armed with a Dangerous Weapon (Serious Misdemeanor)

At approximately 4:54 P.M. this afternoon Patrick E. Walker turned himself in to Officers at the Webster County Law Enforcement Center without incident. Mr. Walker was arrested on the following charges.

  • Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (C Felony)
  • Going Armed with Intent (D Felony)
  • Willful Injury (C Felony)
  • Criminal Gang Participation (D Felony)
  • Minor Armed with a Dangerous Weapon (Serious Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of a Firearm as a Felon (D Felony)

As with all cases, all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
