Humboldt Co., IA – The Humboldt County Emergency Management Agency released the following press release regarding the burn ban in Humboldt County.

“In collaboration with the Fire Chiefs of Humboldt County, the State of lowa Fire Marshal’s Office and the Humboldt County Emergency Management Agency, the current burn ban for Humboldt County will be lifted effective Nov. 8 at 8:00 a.m. 1-8-2022 at 0800 hours. All outside burning may resume at that time.

‘Even though the burn ban has been lifted, please use caution when burning. The weather forecast does call for rain in the area, however conditions remain drier than normal and fire spread is still possible. Remember to attend all outside burning and have an extinguishment source available and nearby. For more safety information on burning outside contact your local fire department.’ – Kyle Bissell, Humboldt County EMA Director.”

The burn ban had been in effect since mid-October.
