Des Moines, IA – The National Weather Service has shifted the severe weather threat westward as of this morning to the I-35 corridor and eastward.

Currently, Hamilton County and the eastern portion of Wright County are the only counties within the listening area looking at an enhanced risk for severe weather.

A slight risk is in place for Humboldt, Hancock, Webster and Kossuth counties, with a marginal risk in the western counties of Pocahontas, Palo Alto and Calhoun counties.

Following the severe weather threat today will be snowfall chances for the northern counties in our listening area, with only Kossuth under a Winter Weather Advisory.
