At-Large Fort Dodge teen wanted for first degree murder found in eastern Iowa

Davenport, IA – An At-Large Fort Dodge teen wanted for first degree murder has been found and is in custody.

According to a press release from the Fort Dodge Police Department, a tip came in on Saturday of a possible location in Davenport, Iowa of wanted subject 17-year-old Davonquae Pettigrew. Local investigators reached out to the Davenport Police Department for assistance. With the information that was gathered, the Davenport Police Department conducted a search warrant at a residence in Davenport. During the search warrant, Pettigrew was taken into custody at approximately 6:45 p.m. without incident.

Pettigrew was booked into the Scott County Jail but is being held in the Scott County Juvenile Detention Center in Davenport. The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations, the Webster County Attorney’s Office, and the Davenport Police Department.

Pettigrew faces charges in the shooting that killed Patrick Walker of Fort Dodge and left another Fort Dodge man injured.
