Humboldt boys soccer blanks Wright County Soccer 5-0

Humboldt, IA – Humboldt Boys Soccer wrapped up this week with their third consecutive win in 5-0 fashion against the Wright County Soccer Club from the Humboldt High School Soccer Field Friday.

Humboldt would break the seal in the scoreless match with a goal by Trever Beach with 14:51 remining in the 1st half of play. The Wildcats would take the lead into the half against Wright County. It was more of the same for Humboldt in the second half, who would pour on another four goals.  The second half saw Antonio Xum find the back of the net to increase the Humboldt lead to 2-0 with 25 minutes remaining in the 2nd half. A few minutes later, it was a header by Will Orness with 21:52 left in 2nd half to increase the Wildcat lead to a 3-0 margin. Humboldt would then be set up with a penalty kick opportunity with Fin Mason, who beat the keeper Jose Alfaro to increase the Humboldt lead to 4-0 with 13:10 remaining in the 2nd half. The Wildcats would strike once more, this time again from Fin Mason, at the 12:54 mark left in regulation.

With the win, Humboldt boys soccer improves to 10-1.
