Dakota City, IA – At Monday’s Humboldt County Board of Supervisors session, Humboldt County Secondary Roads announced the hire of Jon Sampson to work out of the Bode Shop, which was effective on June 12. Humboldt County Engineer Ben Loots says Sampson has been a good hire for the entity after making a career change from Gold Eagle Cooperative for the last 17 years.
The Board also approved Secondary Roads’ fuel contract for the upcoming fiscal year with W&H Cooperative, with prices moving up for the county $0.01 a gallon according to Loots.
Loots wrapped up his segment with the supervisors by announcing that work on the box culvert on Hawaii Ave. has been finished and has opened back up.
Starting Monday, Lone Tree Rd. will be closing for the next three months for bridge construction. Barricades will be set up along the road starting Thursday of this week to allow for traffic to get accustomed to the changes.
