Fort Dodge man found guilty in 2022 Christmas Day murder

Fort Dodge, IA – A Fort Dodge man has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the Christmas Day homicide of Montreail Dungy.

A jury found Lakendrick Mosley guilty this morning following a week long trial in a Cerro Gordo County Courtroom in Mason City.

Montreail Dungy was killed on Christmas Day and assisting in the investigation were the Fort Dodge Police Department, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Webster County Attorney’s Office.

A second man, 27 year old Darwin Green of Fort Dodge faces an Aiding and Abetting Murder in the First Degree charge.

A sentencing date for Mosley is currently pending.
