Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats girls’ basketball got back to their winning ways in North Central Conference play with a 56-38 win over Hampton-Dumont-CAL Friday night in the Humboldt High School Gymnasium.
Leading the way for Humboldt, Kaitlyn Nelson registered 18 points on six made three-pointers in the win. Jordan Valley led Hampton-Dumont-CAL with 16 points in the effort.
With the win, Humboldt improves to 6-2 (3-1 NCC) and will next face Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on Tuesday from the Humboldt High School Gymnasium. KHBT will carry the game live over the air as part of a doubleheader with the boys’ team. Coverage starts at 6:00 p.m. with tip-off for the girls’ at 6:15 p.m.
