Humboldt, IA – No. 15 Humboldt girls’ basketball won 66-41 Saturday night in the 4A-Region 7 Semifinals over the Boone Toreadors to advance to the Regional Final Tuesday night.
For Humboldt, Ava Fischer had a school record nine three-pointers in route to a 29-point night, Kaitlyn Nelson had five three-pointers in a 17-point effort and Morgan Mann had 15. Boone was led by Erin Ades with 24 and Sydney Adams with 10.
Humboldt is 18-4 and will host Sioux Center Tuesday night after their upset win vs. No. 7 LeMars. Humboldt is a win away from their first State Appearance in 5-on-5 era.
