Des Moines, IA – The Humboldt boys’ wrestling team qualified five for the 2024 IHSAA Boys’ Wrestling State Tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines from Feb. 14-17.
The Wildcats would have three make the podium in Owen Mayall at 120 pounds and Tyce Clarken at 126 both placing eighth. Freshman Broedy Hendricks came up just short of becoming the first freshman in program history to win a state championship, as he fell in the finals at 165 to take second.
