Special Olympics competes in area basketball competition Thursday, seven advance to State

Fort Dodge, IA – The Humboldt Special Olympics team competed in the area basketball competition at Fort Dodge Senior High School Thursday.

A total of 26 athletes from Humboldt took part in the competition, with seven athletes placing first to advance to the state competition.

Not able to compete were Nathan Green, Mariana Hernandez and Tyler Newberry. The seven first place athletes advance to the State Competition in Iowa City on March 9.
