Dakota City, IA – The City of Dakota City’s clerk Angelique Berry was recently named the 2023 City Clerk of the Year by the Iowa Rural Water Association. Berry was presented with this award during the Iowa Rural Water Association’s 49th Annual Conference held at the Veteran’s Memorial Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center from February 19-21 this year in Des Moines.
This award is presented to an outstanding City Clerk who has gone above and beyond the normal requirements of their job. Berry has almost 17 years of experience as a city clerk with her native of Dakota City. Berry is an Iowa Certified Municipal Clerk and Iowa Certified Municipal Finance Officer through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and by the Iowa Municipal Finance Officers Association. Berry along with help from IRWA and City Employees have been able to control Dakota City’s water loss.
