Des Moines, IA – Day three of the Class 2A session of the 2025 Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Boys’ State Wrestling Tournament wrapped up Friday night from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines with Humboldt’s three semifinalists falling to the consolation side of the bracket.
No. 7 Carter Cajthaml (New Hampton/Turkey Valley) won by fall over No. 11 Cyler Cirks (Humboldt) 5:09 into the match in the semifinal round at 132.
Cirks will face No. 5 Kaiden Parker (Oskaloosa) in the consolation semifinals Saturday.
No. 1 Landen Davis (Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont) won by tech fall over No. 4 Tyce Clarken (Humboldt) leading 18-1 3:08 into the match at 138 in the semifinal round.
Clarken will face No. 11 Tanner Wilson (Independence) in the consolation semifinals Saturday morning.
No. 1 Brenden Heying (Benton Community) won by a 4-1 decision over No. 4 Broedy Hendricks (Humboldt) in the semifinal round at 190.
Hendricks will face No. 14 Brendan Lamfers (Sioux Center) in the consolation semifinals Saturday morning.
