Dakota City, IA – Early in-person voting began Wednesday for this year’s city and school elections.

In Humboldt County, the in-person absentee voting is taking place inside the Humboldt County Auditor’s Office within the courthouse in Dakota City. Mailed out ballots began to be sent that day to those who have requested them.

Upcoming important dates for this year’s election include the deadline to request an absentee mailed out ballot being Monday, October 20.  The deadline for voter-preregistration, which requires less documentation, is also on Oct. 20.

Election day this year is Nov 4.
