Humboldt, IA – The local Humboldt and Dakota City Kiwanis Club says they are looking for more volunteers to help with their community projects.
Amanda Pederson, a Kiwanis member, says that Kiwanis Clubs were created over a century ago.
The Kiwanis club in Humboldt and Dakota City is currently at 12 members and Paul says they would like to see that number grow.
There is typically a fee to join, but Paul says the organization is eliminating that fee through other means.
The time commitment includes member meetings held twice a month along with their community events during the year. For those interested, you can contact the Kiwanis Club on their Facebook page Humboldt Dakota City Kiwanis or email them at humboldtkiwanis@gmail.com.
