Dakota City, IA – Another elected official in Humboldt County has announced she will be officially retiring at the end of the year.
Humboldt County Recorder Diane Amundson made the announcement after presenting the Recorder’s Quarterly Report at Monday (October 6) morning’s session.
Amundson has been the Humboldt County Auditor for 11 years. She made a recommendation for the Board of Supervisors to appoint a successor within her office as she leaves the office before the end of her term.
The board could not hold discussion or take action on the future vacancy due to it not being listed on the agenda.
It’s the second consecutive week an elected official for Humboldt County has announced leaving their position before the end of their term. Supervisor for District 2 Sandy Loney made an announcement last Monday for her resignation from the Board of Supervisors effective Nov. 15. Loney cited moving closer to family the reason for her departure.
