Humboldt, IA – Humboldt High School’s Student Senate is hosting a pair of fundraising events this week, with the first one Tuesday night.
Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Humboldt High School gymnasium, the fundraiser is an Ironman volleyball tournament that features boys’ volleyball. Humboldt High School Freshman Lexi Dominick is a member of the student senate.
The cost to attend is $5 at the door with proceeds going toward Humboldt Special Education Teacher Dean Schnetzer’s cancer fight. A second fundraiser on Friday features a powderpuff football game for a different cause.
The game at Mason Maach Field also has a $5 cost to attend at the gate. The proceeds from the second fundraiser goes toward the school’s F.U.E.L. program.
