Semi Obstructs View, Causes Wreck Near Humboldt Hardees

Humboldt, IA — Andrew Depue, 20, of Fort Dodge and Ashley Kiley, 20, of Dakota City were involved in a two car wreck on Highway 3 at the intersection of 10th Avenue North.

Depue was exiting the Hardee’s parking lot and was planning to turn eastbound. Depue stated in the police report that his view obstructed by a stationary semi at the nearby junction. Kiley was eastbound down

Highway 3 when Depue went to turn and sideswiped Kiley’s Ford SUV. Officer Kylie Zender was on the scene at around 3pm on Monday, as both vehicles incurred minor damage at around $2,000 each.

Kiley and Depue were uninjured in the accident and neither vehicle had to be towed from the scene. No citations were given in the report besides the obstructed vision of Depue.
