Fort Dodge, IA – Humboldt Softball dominate St. Edmond in season opener.
Monday, June 15, Humboldt High School Softball opened up their season at the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge, beating the hosting team St. Edmond 11-0 in just five innings after a mercy rule was enforced. It was a dominate display for the Wildcats all evening after they jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first inning. The Wildcats entered the fourth inning with a 5-0 lead and scored six runs to get the mercy rule.

- Humboldt Starting Pitcher Ellie Jacobson recorded 9 strikeouts in five innings.
- Three Wildcats recorded multiple RBIs led by Jacobson with 3.
