Sioux City, IA – A Dakota City man is pleading guilty and to be imprisoned for his involvement in a meth conspiracy.
The announcement come via a release from the Northern District of Iowa united States Attorney’s Office, shared through the Humboldt County Law Enforcement Center.
Tyler Tinken, 37, from Dakota City had pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He has been sentenced to more than 3 years in federal prison on Dec. 7.
Evidence gathered showed from July of 2019 through Nov. 14, 2019 Tinken was involved in conspiracy that distributed meth in the Humboldt and Sac County areas. The report states that on multiple occasions he distributed just over a pound of pure methamphetamine to individual cooperating with law enforcement. Over 650 grams of the drug was also sized during a search of Tinken’s vehicle and residence in Nov. 2019.
Tinken was sentence in Sioux City by the United State District Court Chief Judge Leonard T. Strand. His sentence is for 47 months’ imprisonment. He must also serve a 3-year term of supervised release after the prison term.
