Eagle Grove, IA – A homicide is being investigated in Eagle Grove.
According to a report from The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation the Wright County Sheriff’s Office received a report early February 16 of a stabbing at Prestage Foods in Eagle Grove. Deputies responded and located a deceased individual inside the employee locker room area within the plant.
Deputies were able to identify a suspect who is now in custody. The initial investigation revealed the victim and suspect knew each other.
No further details about the case has been been released at this time. The release of name is pending family notification.
The investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office is on going. The Iowa Division of Investigation is assisting on the case.
