Humboldt boys’ soccer scores seven in the second half in big win over Hampton

Humboldt, IA – On Friday, April 30, the Humboldt High School boys’ soccer team hosted the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs and won 10-2.

Humboldt started the scoring first in the eighth minute as Max Mason would score on a penalty kick opportunity. Three minutes later an equalizer would come on a Hampton PK.

The score would remained tied at 1-1 until the 21st minute when Mason would record his second score of the game on another penalty kick. Jame Gould would get the final score of the second half in the 30th minute to give Humboldt the 3-1 halftime advantage.

The abundance of goal scoring in the second half started with Gould in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute Max Mason would get his third hat trick of the season to make it 4-1. Hampton would respond in the 51st minute on their second penalty kick opportunity of the match.

From there Humboldt would score six unanswered goals to finish the evening. Max Mason would score his fourth goal of the match in the 55th minute. In the 57th and 63th minute Isaiah Kahl would collected two goals. In the 69th minute Christian Ramirez would find himself a goal and the 10th and final goal for Humboldt came from Jacob Heider in the 73rd minute.

Humboldt boys’ soccer is now 10-2 on the season. Their next game will be on Tuesday, May 4th, at home against Nevada. The match will begin at 5 pm.
